Homebound Care Program

One of the functions of the Elder support activities is to assist an Elder in living in their traditional manner. As the Elders age, there are unique home care needs that the Program addresses.

homebound These needs vary from Elder to Elder, but include items such as the following:

  • Wheelchairs, walkers and canes
  • Pottie Chairs and shower chairs
  • Adult incontinence supplies
  • Simple home care items such as BenGay, cough drops, Tylenol, Vicks Vapo-Rub
  • Bandaids, elastic bandages to support joints

The Adopt-A-Native-Elder Program collaborates with nursing homes and chapter health care workers in each of the areas in which our Elders live.

You do not have to have an adopted Elder in order to purchase medical boxes. Simply indicate on your form that you would like the medical box to go to an Elder in need and we will make certain that it is delivered to an Elder in need.

There is an opportunity for doctors or nurses to travel to the reservation during our semi-annual foodruns to do simple health assessment. If you are a doctor or a nurse, please contact Linda Myers, 435-649-0535 for further information.

Please visit the Donations page to see the available options for helping our Elders.
