Yá’át’ééh! My name is Vina Horseherder. I live just south of Big Mountain, Arizona. I learned to weave as a child from my grandmother. She was a master weaver.

I watched her prepare the wool from the sheep, her techniques of using different colors and designs, and the good thoughts and prayers she put into every weaving.

I love to weave Ceremonial Yei rugs, Chiefs Blanket rugs and Storm rugs. I like to use my own sheep wool to weave my rugs.

Weaving is my therapy, my way of life, and also my income.
