Wanda Tracy
Yá’át’ééh. My name is Wanda Tracy and I am a Master Weaver from Nazlini, Arizona on the Navajo Reservation.
I live with my mother, Marie Nez, who is also a Master Weaver. She has been a weaver her whole life and she taught me to weave when I was a very young girl. I weave mainly Burnt Water rugs that are all vegetal dyes.
I also keep busy with grandkids. There is only one vehicle for all of the family and I take everyone where they need to go.
I weave as often as I can. I also spend a lot of time collecting plants to dye my wool.
