Park City Rug Show

2026 Rugs

Snow Park Lodge
VENUE: SNOW PARK LODGE, DEER VALLEY, UT

The function of the Rug Show has always been to provide a service to the Navajo Elders and to the community that hosts the show. It creates a marketplace for Navajo artists to sell their incredible work in an environment that honors their culture, traditions, and history. In addition, the Rug Show honors Adopt-A-Native-Elder’s mission to bring together people of other cultures to bridge the gap between them and the Navajo people caused by generations of abuse, genocide, and subjugation.

At the in-person Rug Show you can feel the beat of the drum during the veteran’s ceremony, you can feel the energy as the Pow Wow dancers move through the lodge, and you can intimately feel the emotions of the Elders when they speak in their own language. For the weavers, the Rug Show is a lifeline that honors them, their culture, and their heritage while providing a way to sustain themselves.

In the words of weaver Elvira Horseherder, “I have been selling my rugs at the Adopt-A-Native-Elder rug show for over 30 years and it is the only place I sell my rugs. Rug sales really help me to buy what I need for winter. It helps with everything—to buy water, to buy hay to save my sheep and give me wool for weaving. We are so thankful and happy for The Adopt-A-Native-Elder Program. I have cried and prayed because I feel I cannot give anything back. It is a blessing. So I just pray for your Rug Show, that it keeps going today, tomorrow, and always. Thank you very, very much, you feed us with all that you do.”

GALA NIGHT AUCTION
The Friday night gala opening for the rug show features a live auction as the main attraction of the evening. This event serves as the principal fund-raiser for A.N.E. during the show, helping to defray the cost of bringing the Elders to Park City and staging the event at the Snow Park Lodge. We have a stunning array of packages that include overnight stays at incredible locations, a wellness package, and exquisite native and southwestern pieces. The auction proceeds directly benefit A.N.E. Special thanks to volunteers Melyssa Holbrook and Sharon Lewis for securing auction items.
